2017/2018 Indie Film Series in Full Swing

The Hell’s Half Mile Independent Film Series is already in full swing bringing more great storytelling to our community. In October, the narrative feature film “Four Bottles” screened at the State Theatre with writer/director John Painz in attendance. Next up was The Minutes Collection, a comedic series of 6 short vignettes, shot in single-takes, about important minutes in the lives of 6 characters, and the breaking points that these moments lead them to.was

The first of two screenings in November started with the British family drama, “Waking David”. The film explores the dangers both of keeping secrets and digging them up.

Each of the films was met with a great audience, some of which joined the HHM team at The Public House for our Cinema Social, for drinks and conversation.

The Film Series helps to support Hell’s Half Mile Events, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and expanding the art of independent film, music, and entertainment. We strive to exceed expectations while inspiring our community to participate in the arts. Provide the alternative, entertain & inspire!

Stay tuned for announcements on the remainder of the 2017/2018 films.
