See high school foot­ball in an entirely new light as the 98% Arab Amer­i­can pop­u­la­tion in Dear­born, Michi­gan sup­ports their local Ford­son foot­ball team, com­prised of pre­dom­i­nately Arab-American play­ers who con­tinue to play and to prac­tice dur­ing the last ten days of the Mus­lim holy month of Ramadan. This pow­er­ful and unique doc­u­men­tary fol­lows the play­ers and their fam­i­lies as they pre­pare for a rivalry game with Dear­born High School, a chal­lenge com­pounded with the play­ers prac­tic­ing with­out eat or drink from sunup to sun­down. This fas­ci­nat­ing film explores an Amer­i­can com­mu­nity and its val­ues on mul­ti­ple levels.
