Film Pre-screeners

Thank you for your interest in being a pre-screener for the 13th Annual Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival. We receive 100’s of film submissions from all over the world, and the job of a pre-screener is to help narrow them down so we can select the best films for our festival. We take the screening process very seriously, and take pride in giving filmmakers the consideration they deserve. Our call for submissions begins on November 1st, and our pre-screener group will begin watching & scoring online screeners on December 1st. The number of hours per week will vary based upon the number of submissions, but it’ll probably range from 2-4 hours per week.

If you’re going on a vacation between December and July, we ask that you give us advance notice so we can make accommodations. We have some questions below to help divide our pre-screeners into diverse groups, so please answer them as completely as possible. If you are chosen to be on our team we will have a meeting to discuss viewing, scoring, and writing feedback on films. We hope to make this process as smooth as possible.

HHM is a very well curated event that is hosted by wonderful people. The audiences in Bay City are filled with both local film lovers as well as attending filmmakers. Overall it is a great event that I recommend to others.
