JW Francis is a New York-based musician known for his melodic, jangly bedroom dream-pop with a lo-fi twist. His DIY spirit and charismatic personality shine through in his performances, where audiences can’t help but fall for his music. It’s no wonder JW Francis is celebrated as the king of good vibes. You’re gonna dance & groove to this cool dude.
Bluhm is a Detroit-based dream pop duo consisting of Claire Bluhm (vocals) and John Marion (multi-instrumentalist/producer), formed in 2021. Their sound features intricate guitar and synth arrangements with ethereal vocals and dreamy melodies. Their lyrics explore themes of love, heartbreak, and self-worth, all crafted in their home studio. With a loyal following and comparisons to The Cranberries, Beach House & Mazzy Star, their latest album, Midnight Hill, blends 80s synth-pop, 90s shoegaze, and modern indie music into a lush, unforgettable experience that navigates the highs and lows of vulnerability in love.
Waltzer delivers vibrant, danceable chaos with a mix of sung and spoken vocals. Their latest single, “Act Like Me,” appears on a split 7″ with Brooklyn’s art-rock band TEA EATER and their track “Cosmic Coconut,” released in late 2023 (A Diamond Heart Production/Amethyst Trax with La Fam Recordings). The “Time Traveler” LP (Side Hustle Records, 2021), created by Sophie Sputnik after moving to Chicago from sunny South Florida, was released during the pandemic. Waltzer’s live shows offer an “uneasy-yet-addictive” experience with an “intentionally unintentional” vibe. The band has toured extensively across the US, playing festivals like Treefort and SXSW.
Sungaze is the dreamy, genre-bending project of husband-and-wife duo Ian Hilvert and Ivory Snow. Their music seamlessly shifts from grunge-heavy tracks to upbeat dream pop anthems with a country lilt. This eclectic mix highlights the creativity of modern music, where anything is possible. Sungaze has released three independent albums: Light in All of It (2019), This Dream (2021), and Sungaze (2024). Live shows feature a talented lineup including Snow’s sister Angela Colvin on bass, Zach Starkie on rhythm guitar, Justin Van Wagenen on drums, and Charlie Hausfeld on keys.
Liquid Mike is an indie power pop rock band from Marquette, MI, in the Upper Peninsula. Liquid Mike began in 2021 and is the product of Mike Maple’s pop-rock song writing. The band features a cast of U.P. standouts including Monica Nelson, Dave Daignault, Zack Alworden, Cody Marecek. Liquid Mike inhabits a sweet spot in the musical pantheon: catchy, well-crafted guitar and vocal hooks that will snag any fan of power-pop/pop rock. Liquid Mike invokes a relatable feeling of nostalgia with everyday lyrics of the quickly-receding flavor of Big League Chew bubblegum, drinking beer from used marinara sauce jars in college, and every 4th hand rust-bucket of a car you ever drove in a Great Lakes snowstorm. They self-released their fifth LP, “Paul Bunyan’s Slingshot” on Feb 2nd 2024.
