Brews & Bites 2014 :: HHM Style

Brews & Bites 2014 :: HHM Style

Brews&BitesSlider

Brews & Bites is going to be one of the best events you go to in Spring, and it’s the only thing you’ll want to clear your schedule for on May 9. There’s craft beer, delicious food samples, vinyl music, and even an awesome live band. Here’s the skinny:

Arbeitoer Hall (above Governor’s Quarters): 1304 S. Wenona, Bay City
7pm – 11pm on Friday, May 9

For only $25 (and let’s be honest, you’d drop that at the bar in no time anyway), you’ll get a free pint of beer PLUS an 8oz tasting flight, delicious tastes from lots of local vendors, and a voucher to see a film at HHM 9 in September for free.

Plus, thanks to our awesome music programmers, you’ll have the chance to see George Morris and the Gypsy Chorus, a Detroit band that has been described as “biting and cynical, with a minimal poppy and elegant art rock twist”: “they’re anything but low energy.” You can check out their bandcamp page here. They draw huge crowds in Detroit and are worth the cost of entry alone (and you don’t have to drive to Detroit to see them!).

Your “bites” will be unique, but if you want to really discover them, you’ll just have to attend. Our food vendors include Artigiano (Bay City’s amazing new cheese shop!), Heather’s, the Sweet Boutique, Gourmet Cupcake Shoppe, Old World Bakery, Meaty’s and Meats & Mooore, Choux Catering (Lindsay Truffler’s new venture), Populace Café, and Christa Schubert on behalf of HHM. Yum; my mouth is already watering.

And the party continues downstairs at Governor’s Quarters afterward. Grab your friends and head on down for more beer and fun; you can count on us joining you.

A big thanks to the Owczarzak Family businesses (Arbeitoer Hall & Governor’s Quarters, Meats & Mooore, and Meaty’s Roadhouse BBQ) for welcoming HHM and for sponsoring this event. We also want to give a huge thank you to all of our food and other sponsors for both this event and others. We are so appreciative that we live in a city where businesses support us and other arts events time and time again.

This event will be for ages 21 and up. Tickets are available in-person at Populace Café (1003 Washington Ave.) and at Governor’s Quarters (1304 S. Wenona Ave). You can also purchase online at brownpapertickets.com.
