With summer blazing in all it’s sunny and humid glory and the festival just a few months away, Hell’s Half Mile has compiled a mixtape and a Spotify playlist to help you endure the heat.
The former, dubbed “Bay City’s Hottest Summer on Record“, was curated by Lightnin’ Licks Vinyl Preservation Society member M.M. Knapps and is the perfect seasonal mix. Available on Mixcloud and in this very post, the playlist features artists scheduled to perform during HHM13 in September (e.g. Maps & Altases, Anna Burch, Emily Blue, Lung, Oxymorrons), some choice cuts from fest alumni (including Handgrenades’ newest tune “Vampires & Freaks” and a cover of “Kids in America” by Electric Six), and an assortment of skits.
Place a drink in your hand, sink those toes in the sand, put on your earbuds, and enjoy.
For the more Spotify-inclined, the HHM music committee has also put together a 22-song playlist of those artists performing this year. The playlist features two songs from each artist set to play.
